Electric Elephant Productions is an award-winning production company established in 2014 by Phil K. Matthews and Gemma Nichols to produce character-driven comedy and drama.
Based in London, the company’s films have been screened at festivals around the world. Whether it’s comedy or drama, our stories are told with heart and humour.
Phil and Gem were inspired by the quirky Electric Elephant Café in south London and were drawn to the name. It wasn’t until years later they discovered that the café had been named after an old cinema in Elephant and Castle, adding a romantic edge to the company’s history.
Both from the north east of England, they met on an acting job. Their shared-creative vision for storytelling has made them a winning team.
